Outdoor Story Time
Children with an adult can join us on the lawn behind the library (weather permitting).
Bring your own blanket and enjoy stories, songs, and dancing.
Mondays | 10:00am (with Tuesday rain day)

 

 

Summer Reading
Paw Paw District Library invites readers of all ages to join our Summer Reading Program.
Complete 2 activities each week to earn Brag Tags. Can you collect all 9 tags?
 

 

SRP: Interactive Movie Week
Don't just watch a movie. Take an active role in it! Use script prompts and props to respond to
movie scenes. Each kit contains prompt sheets, props to use throughout the movie, and a craft
to do before watching. Kits are available for the following movies: Finding Nemo, How to Train Your
Dragon, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Zootopia, Rio, and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

SRP: Animal Adaptations
Why does a porcupine have spikes? How does camouflage work? We'll use hands-on
activities to learn about these and other adaptations animals use to eat, live, and survive.

SRP: Shark Attack Finger Puppet
Celebrate Shark Week with this "jawsome" craft.
Use felt and a basic sewing stitch to create a shark finger puppet.

Curiosity Bag - Preschool Activity Bag

Play! Create! Investigate! Designed for kids 3-5, each bag contains 3-4 activities
based around a monthly theme. September's theme is apples.

Science Adventures - Make a Solar Bug

Kids can create a solar powered insect that zips around and makes noise! Cut out your bug, decorate it,
and then add your solar cell and vibrating motor. Registration required. Limited to 25 participants.

Art Quest - String Art

Kids can create a colorful piece of string art using kid-friendly pins, cork, and
string (no hammer required!). Choose from four different designs.

Learn how to identify constellations and listen to the stories they tell.

Spooktacular Fall Carnival

Come to the Paw Paw District Library for a Spooktacular Fall Carnival! We will have spooky stories,
carnival games, crafts, and a Halloween mystery box game. Feel free to wear your Halloween Costume!

Tape Town

Kids, zoom around a mini town made of tape! Bring your own toy car or borrow one of ours.
Stop at each interactive station to build, play, and create! Geared towards ages 2-6.
